What is quest for the bay?

Quest for the Bay is a television documentary series that follows a group of modern-day adventurers as they retrace the historic fur-trading route of the Hudson's Bay Company through Canada's remote wilderness. The series is produced by Animiki See Digital Productions in collaboration with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN).

The series features a host, Greg Hemmings, and a team of adventurers as they embark on a 28-day journey along the 2,200-kilometre historic fur trade route that stretches from Winnipeg to Churchill, Manitoba. Along the way, they face several challenges and obstacles, including extreme weather conditions, dangerous rapids and portages, and encounters with wild animals.

The show also focuses on the history and culture of the Indigenous peoples and their connection to the land. The team meets with Indigenous leaders and Elders to learn about the traditional knowledge and practices that have sustained their communities for generations.
